Actor opens up about Adam Warlock’s future after the movie

Arguably the most anticipated arrival of an MCU character, time-wise, is Adam Warlockwhich will finally make its debut in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3.

After a post-credits scene in the last Space Crew movie, when the alien race of sovereign beings created Adam in a cocoon, where all common people are created, but in Adam’s case, he is more special.

The character has many powers in the comics that will likely be adapted into live-action and is sure to establish himself as one of the most powerful characters ever featured in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

And the actor who will play the golden alien, Poultryspoke to The reading list and talked about where the franchise is headed with its cosmic new persona. Poulter admitted it’s still unclear “what’s in store for him” going forward:

“I don’t know. Honestly, I don’t know what’s in store for me. I’m waiting to find out, and it’s the plain truth, but needless to say, I’d love to take a journey with this character.”

The actor also shared more details about his casting call and said he didn’t even know which character he was up for a role as:

“I took the first test in June last year [2021], and that was the first time I auditioned, and then I kind of got the part in September, I think. And then I started filming in December… I didn’t know which character I was initially auditioning for. I somehow knew closer to time [da escalação] for whom I was reading.

Although I didn’t know Adam Warlock before, I was very familiar with ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’, and it was kind of my favorite ‘planet’ in the Marvel Universe, if you will. I’m a big fan of the tone and the creativity and the work of James Gunn and so many actors, you know, that I can now call colleagues, which I’m very grateful for. So yeah, having any type of role in this world is really, really cool to me.

And finally, Poulter talks about his physical preparation, though he doesn’t know what that will look like in the final big-screen version. Also, he prefers not to talk too much about it for the moment:

“I hesitate to talk about it because I don’t know how it translates on screen. That [transformação] was an integral part of the preparations, and I will say that I couldn’t have been better supported by Marvel and the team of people I work with. Like, it took a lot of people to help me get there; It’s not something I did alone. When the film comes out, I hope to talk about it more frankly.
