Anti-vaccine man burns Olivia Rodrigo’s concert tickets

A man from Phoenix, Arizona (USA) claimed to have burned $3,500 worth of tickets for Olivia Rodrigo’s Sour Tour. The reason for this is a protest against compulsory vaccination against Covid-19 for entry to the event.

On his Facebook, Doug Wood said he bought the tickets for his daughter, Katelyn, and her friends. He would, however, have seen compulsory vaccination after acquiring the invitations.

“I paid over $3,500 ten weeks ago for tickets to the Olivia Rodrigo concert, from Katelyn’s birthday present. [filha] for her and her friends tonight. They were so excited, including this morning, that today is finally show day here in Phoenix. Now I probably should have done more due diligence, because maybe [a restrição] was in the fine print. Anyway, we got an email today and saw a post on Instagram from them saying the vaccine is mandatory for the show. Even a negative Covid-19 test won’t work. Just the vaccine,” he wrote.

Katelyn’s father even criticized the show for requiring vaccinations for 12-year-olds. He claims that the bond is an “indoctrination” of Rodrigo’s team.

“I don’t want to be a part of it and the girls have decided not to either. After a few tears, long talks, prayers, sadness, more prayers, they too agree that we need to stand up for what is right even when it hurts. We’re all on board and there won’t be a show tonight for any of us.

“I’ve said it many times in all my conferences: taking a stand for what’s right is never popular or easy at first, especially when it hurts financially. But that is respectable and you always win in the long run. You must be true to your values. That’s all you get sometimes,” Woods added, explaining why he decided to burn the tickets.
