Disney gives combined clues with Disney+ and Star+ in Brazil

Star+, the new streaming service from disney, set to launch on August 31, and the company has begun hinting at potential purchase packages with Disney+. Apparently, consumers who choose to subscribe to both platforms and already have a Disney+ subscription can get Star+ at a lower price.

According to Almanac Disney, the company has updated the contract for the purchase of Star+ in Brazil. The offer is called COMBO+ and, although there is no indication of price, apparently anyone who purchased Disney+ at a promotional price during the launch month will still be able to participate in this special value. Moreover, there are rumors that the price of this joint subscription of Disney+ with Star+ is R$45 per month. It should be recalled that there is already a combo with a similar price in Brazil involving Disney+, but in conjunction with Globoplay: the subscriber who wishes to subscribe to both services can purchase a bundle for R$43.90.

Star+ saw its arrival date in Brazil announced in May. According to the company’s official release, the stream will host exclusive premieres of general entertainment TV series and movies from The Walt Disney Company’s content studios, including Disney Television Studios, FX, 20th Century Studios, STAR Original Productions, National Geographic. Original Productions. and will also include live sports programming from ESPN channels.

In the announcement made in 2020, titles such as Logan and dead Pool will appear among the options on the wonder on Disney+. Legal battle with Starzplay

COMBO+ information reached the public the following weekend, caught up in the controversy involving Star+ and Starzplay, a streaming service which in Brazil is integrated with Prime Channels and distributes series such as The act, Great and normal people. According to a court decision, Disney would be prohibited from using the name “Star+” on national territory precisely because of the risk that consumers would confuse the two products.

Even so, the company is keeping the streaming release date for August 31st. On the Internet, Brazilian users have already begun to notice differences on the service’s website.
