The reasons why Doctor Strange fans are the happiest in the world

strange doctor has been one of the most active characters in all of Marvel media right now. Obviously, a lot of that is down to the hero’s new solo movie that debuted earlier this month, but the good stuff extends even further when we look at the bigger picture.

To be realistic, since 2016 when the character made his film debut, he has been gaining notoriety. He returned to his solo comic book series after decades shortly after his first movie was announced, and has appeared in the MCU every year since his debut.

In 2016, in his solo film, 2017 in Thor: Ragnarokin 2018 in Avengers: Infinity Warin 2019 in Avengers: Endgamein 2020 we had no Marvel production, in 2021 in Spider-Man: No Coming Home and in 2022 in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.

His solo film started off on the right foot, presenting the character in an exceptional way, very faithful to the essence of the comics. The best possible origin story.

Subsequently, a large rapid turnout at Thor: Ragnarokwhere the character shows an increase in power and knowledge, where he also demonstrates having more control over his abilities, in addition to being another production that expresses his essence.

Avengers: Infinity War reinforces the skills and powers of the hero at its peak in breathtaking action sequences, however, it is a bit apart from other productions in the personality and essence of the character in certain scenes. In Endgame, he is of primary importance, even if he does not appear much.

Doctor Strange - What if...?

In What if…? the character was given an “evil” variant, but still shared much of the essence of the character, with his fears, need to control things, trauma, with Doctor Strange Supreme proving to be the most powerful character of all Marvel .Ateliers.

your return to Spider-Man: No Coming Home is one of the best adaptations of the character’s personality, even if it leaves something to be desired in terms of its display of power.

And in his latest solo movie, the sequel to the 2016 one, although sadly and unfairly he’s not a plot centerpiece, his personality is spot on, there are plenty of comic book references to the character throughout of the film and some of them are very special for the fans.

Moon Knight and Doctor Strange - Comic

In the comics, the return of his solo magazine at the end of 2015, as already mentioned, brought a new face to the character, addressing more deeply personal, internal and psychological issues very important in his essence and personality, as well as stories incredible and already very important in solo in general.

A few missteps amid the character’s solos have occurred along the way, especially during Mark Waid’s 2018 magazine, where many aspects didn’t sit well with the most hardcore Doctor Strange fans.

Following the comic, Strange Academy was created, a school of magic opened by Doctor Strange, where the mythology of the character and the magical core of Marvel, in general, were very well developed, although there are also recent failures, but the results are quite positive.

The Death of Doctor Strange

More recently, there was The Death of Doctor Strange, and while the name might be creepy and has everything to be a storyline, somehow offensive to the character, that’s definitely not what happened.

Doctor Strange’s death was a perfect story that translated and reinforced many of the key concepts for the character, being a true love letter to fans, as much as it caused his death, as the name suggests. Everything about her is very popular with fans and it’s no wonder.

Currently, Doctor Strange is still dead in the comics, but that’s not enough to leave fans of the hero disappointed and/or contentless. In addition to timeless or anthological magazines with him as the protagonist, one of the most beloved characters from the wizard’s core is gaining notoriety.

Doctor Strange - Clea

key, the wife and true love of Stephen Strange (the one who appears in the first post-credits scene of the new film) has become Earth’s Sorceress Supreme in place of her husband and is doing very well. With intense displays of power on every page, the beloved character finally appears in his own solo magazine, much to the delight of the wizard’s fans.

And much more is to come in all media. It’s just the beginning. But everything the character experiences in theaters and in the comics is enough for Doctor Strange fans to sleep with warm hearts knowing that his character has been very well honored wherever he goes.
